can, with relationship coaching. |
Practical Couple Coaching
My couple coaching has a positive and practical
focus. The overall
aim is to improve your individual personal awareness and skills
to enable you both to make more conscious positive choices
about how
you relate to each other in order to transform your relationship
into the one that works for you.
Unlike much relationship counselling and marriage
guidance however, I won’t just focus on you and your partner. Instead we will
consider what your relationship needs, as if it were a third person
who needs to be considered too. My role as your coach will be to reflect back to
you what I see happening for you as individuals and in that space
between you - i.e. the relationship.
This will increase your personal awareness and thus your
ability to make conscious choices about your behaviours, rather than
be reactive
or feel out of control. It will also broaden your awareness to include
the needs of your partner and the relationship. I will suggest how
you might see things from these different perspectives, share with
you possible new ways forward and support you with implementing
the changes you want.
No two couples are the same so we will design our relationship
together and decide between us where to focus each session, for
instance:
|
- Learning new communication and conflict resolution
skills
- Developing a shared
vision of the relationship you want
- Moving on from
resentment and hurt
- Increasing love and
compassion
- Becoming more
accountable
- Setting and sustaining healthy boundaries
|
Ideally I will work with the two of you. However, if your partner
is not yet ready to work on the relationship, you and I can work
together as you as an individual have the power to improve your
relationship.
